About
he governmental body previously known as the Ministry of Forests and Soil Conservation in Nepal has been renamed the Ministry of Forests and Environment (वन तथा वातावरण मन्त्रालय). This ministry is responsible for the conservation of forests and the management of the environment within the country. Its objectives include promoting the sustainable growth of the forest and water sectors, managing biodiversity, and fostering forest-related enterprises to alleviate poverty in rural areas.
